Descriptive Review

Amazing L'nu'k: A Celebration of the People of Mi’kma’ki is the fourth book in a series that celebrates amazing Atlantic Canadians. This book presents the contributions Indigenous People (Mi'kmaq) have made to their, and Canadian, history in North America. The recipient of numerous awards, Mi’kmaq author Julie Pellissier-Lush, helped script this informative book to share some amazing accomplishments and the culture of her community. From activists and heroes to artists, athletes, and educators, the topics covered in this book are vast. Two-Eyed Seeing (or etuaptmumk, which means the integration of both Indigenous and Western learning and knowledge to benefit all) scientists, entrepreneurs, and crusaders have all contributed to this informative, encouraging text. Individuals often overcame obstacles on their way to success, though they remained true to their Mi’kmaq ancestry. Representing people of all ages, Amazing L'nu'k: A Celebration of the People of Mi’kma’ki has something inspiring for everyone.
