Descriptive Review

This read-aloud is intriguing to readers as the graphics are silly and playful. Making friends and accepting others is something the characters in this story are working to figure out. There are examples of hyperbole, parts of speech, and situational irony throughout this story that make it fun and enticing for the audience. This book highlights the importance of having values and purpose, and of never underestimating what someone can do. Environmental connections are also a theme in the story, which connects well to Earth Day and the importance of saving trees. | Author Russ Willms wrote Brewster Rooster (Mr. Christie's Book Award Gold Winner) and created the app Zooper ABC Animals.

32 pp., 7.75 × 10.75", colour illustrations
