Descriptive Review

The Métis Alphabet Colouring Book is more than just a selection of colouring pages. Each page can be used on its own, as each letter has one page with a black-and-white drawing of some aspect of Métis culture and a second page containing background information on the cultural item or activity. The writing level varies for each letter. The written information is more suited to students in grade five and above and could be used for older students, while the colouring page is more suited for younger students. Michif words and sentences are also included for each letter with the English translation. A list of additional resources is included in each written section. Lesson activity links are included at the back of the book, grouped into themes such as transportation, dance, and Elders.
