Rick McIntyre, a wolf naturalist, chronicles the life of Wolf 21, a powerful alpha wolf and leader of the Druid Peak pack living in Yellowstone National Park. McIntyre brings together research and personal observations to enlighten readers about wolf behaviour and life cycle. Written in an accessible, narrative style, this book will appeal to readers wanting to learn about the natural world and the role and relationships of living things in an ecosystem. English Language Arts classes will find connections to literary themes like interdependence and connection to the land.
